Saitta M.D., who in addition to being a practicing Medical Doctor is also a long time member of the American College of Nutrition as well as an accomplished gourmet and culinary expert. Dr. Saitta and his culinary staff take great pride in combining authentic flavors with the natural goodness of organic ingredients. We want to conveniently bring the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet to everyone and celebrate the Mediterranean lifestyle at every table, with every meal.
Our passion for health and cooking is brought out in every bite. The flavors and aroma of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, fresh herbs and spices intensify the taste of our main entrees and also enhance the array of colors, consistency and textures which are appealing to the eye, taste buds and which will satisfy even the most discerning palate.
Mediterranean Meals has the answer to many restricted dietary needs, including: Diabetes, Heart Disease, Obesity, Hypertension, Low Sodium, Low cholesterol and Low Saturated Fats (the only source of fat we use in our meals is extra virgin olive oil).
When eating a Mediterranean style diet, one is already on the right nutritional track and when organic ingredients are used, you can't get closer to perfection than that! We firmly believe that organic ingredients bring out the true flavor of food and have significantly higher levels of antioxidants which are known to reduce the risk of certain types of cancers and other debilitating diseases. While our focus is on providing healthy, tasty and nutritious meals, we also feel an urgency to share and educate people on the different ways and methods of cooking healthy Mediterranean food. Dr. Saitta and his wife Juliana (a teacher by profession) continue to give cooking demonstrations and speeches about the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet. Our motto at Mediterranean Meals notably said thousands of years ago by Hippocrates, the father of medicine is, "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food."
